Built to roll

Ceramic does not mean fragile.

Our dice are kiln-fired above 2,300°F and made for the table, not a display case. These original demonstrations show the process, sound, roll, and real-world resilience for yourself.

A look at the handmade process behind the original Crit Hit ceramic dice.

See and hear ceramic dice rolling across a hard glass surface.

A short, direct demonstration of how a fired ceramic die handles impact.

Why they hold up

Heat, pressure, and careful hands.

Every die begins as hand-pigmented clay, is mold-pressed, cleaned, numbered, and then fired until the material becomes dense and hard. Each finished set is inspected before it leaves our Richmond studio.

01Kiln-fired

Fired above 2,300°F for lasting strength.

02Hand-finished

Cleaned, numbered, and inspected by people.

03Table-ready

Balanced feel, crisp numbers, unmistakable sound.

A quick care note

Tough is not indestructible.

Like any ceramic object, a die can chip if it repeatedly strikes stone, tile, metal, or another hard edge. A dice tray protects both the dice and your table—and makes that ceramic clack sound even better.
